Two vax mandate bills passed the Alabama legislature this week. SB9, although far from perfect, does offer some protections against vax mandates that were not currently available.

SB15 in the versions that passed the House and Senate did provide teeth to our current law that bans vax passports and added some parental protection for minors age 14-19 being coerced to get a COVID vax. We initially supported both bills on the floor. However, SB15 went to a conference committee and part of it was gutted.  Read more and see how your legislators voted.
