Join us for a compelling and informative event featuring Angelo Fermo, a retired law enforcement professional with over 21 years of service and a former Special Agent with the United States Department of Homeland Security.
Angelo is a passionate advocate dedicated to combating child and human trafficking, and his work has profoundly impacted countless lives.
With a distinguished career that includes being one of the founding members of the Department of Homeland Security following the events of September 11, 2001, Angelo brings a wealth of experience and insight. As a Supervisory Special Agent, he led the Child Predator Program and Human Trafficking Unit in Alabama, working tirelessly to protect the most vulnerable members of society.
Angelo also partnered with the Children’s Rescue Initiative (CRI), a nonprofit organization that has rescued over 2,300 children from slavery and human trafficking. Since retiring, he continues this mission as a full-time board member and activist with CRI, fighting for the safety and dignity of children worldwide.
This event will explore critical issues such as the societal impacts of child and human trafficking, actionable steps you can take to make a difference, and the challenges posed by illegal immigration and border security, particularly here in Alabama.
