PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN

SB186 (Sen. Chambliss) Protects children from accidental exposure to pornography by requiring cell phone/tablet manufacturers to turn explicit material filter on when minors’ new phone/tablets are activated.  This is a bill that has passed the House two years in a row but was never debated in the Senate.

SB187 (Sen. Chambliss) Requires app store providers and developers to take certain actions related to age verification and parental consent.

ALABAMA HOME EDUCATION DAY!

Eagle Forum was honored to once again take part in the 2025 Alabama Home Education Day, where we had the privilege of teaching our “Legislature 101” program to students and their parents. One of the most engaging moments came when the kids debated a bill in the Health Committee that proposed allowing dogs in restaurants. They carefully considered potential challenges, thoughtfully crafted amendments to address concerns, and demonstrated impressive problem-solving skills. The experience was both educational and incredibly fun—an absolute blast!  Find out more about the host organization and join us next year. https://southalabamahomeschooling.com/
