REBUKING THE GRASP OF SOCIALISM
How do you define a prosperous country? Is it where everyone shares everything,
meaning equality for all, or where everyone has rights to things they work hard for? The time is
now for you to decide which option you think is best. Our parents’ country will soon be ours,
and it will be our job to make sure it prospers. Socialism is one thing you should pray your
country never falls into. It will destroy every freedom you posses and will continue to grow until
it cannot be stopped.
Socialism is when the government controls property, creativity, and marketing rights. It
has caused numerous countries to fail for many decades. If you’re not careful, socialism can
easily become communism. Twenty to thirty known countries have had this happen, just
because they tried socialism. If we’re not careful, this can happen to our country as well.
Even America has tried socialism before. Back in the 1620’s, before socialism was even
officially invented, the pilgrims came to America and began establishing a colony. They thought
that sharing a field and store house would make the colony prosper and bring equality for all.
Sadly, this did the exact opposite. They tried this idea for two years until the entire colony was
starving and dying. This idea failed because some would work all day, while others might only
work an hour, but they would all get the same payment in food. This caused people to lose
interest in working for things they weren’t getting justly paid for. Which meant no one would
work the fields, which meant no food. Thankfully, Captain John Smith came and helped
reestablish the idea of individual property freedoms. Giving should be our choice, not the
government’s.
Not one country has ever prospered from socialism. Karl Marx was one of the main men
to truly form this terrible idea. He thought that socialism would serve needs, not profit. This is
true, socialism doesn’t serve profit, but it doesn’t serve needs either. Even today socialism is
trying to creep into our country.
Zohran Mamdani was elected the Mayor of New York City on January 1, 2026.
Mamdani was born in Kampala, Uganda and his parents are both Indian. He has stated that he
has “many critiques”on capitalism, which is what our country is built on. He calls himself a
“democratic socialist”. Mamdani quotes Martin Luther King Jr. to support his idea of socialism,
which is something King was against. We must do our best to protect our amazing country
from people like Mamdani and his socialist ideas.
Many don’t realize how blessed we are to live in this country. Our country isn’t run by
socialist or communist leaders that take away freedoms. It is ran by capitalist leaders who
protect all of our freedoms that so many died for to defend. We must do everything we can to
keep the rights our Founding Fathers built our country on. Many are trying to come into our
country and start a socialist government system so that we will fail. That is why we must
protect our beautiful land!
This is also another reason why education itself is so important. Learning history can
prevent the reoccurrence of past mistakes. For years public schools have been trying to twist
history and put opinions into children’s brains instead of facts. Bibles have been removed from
public schools, which is causing children to grow up, losing the fact that our entire country is
built on Christ. School was started so that children could learn how to read the Bible in the first
place. Now Children are being forced to learn ideas that will lead to the corruption of our
beloved nation. We must put Christ back into education!
I hope you realize now how much of a privilege it is to live in this great country and how
important it is to protect our country with everything we have. Whether it’s your voice, writing,
or any skill God blessed you with, use it to protect our free land! Your country will one day be
our children’s country, so we must work together to protect it.
