Meet the Candidates (Tuscaloosa)

April 26 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Tuscaloosa EF Action Group is hosting a “Meet the Candidates” event. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to interview Judge Chris McCool for AL Supreme Court and Robin Litaker for AL 7th Congressional District.

Judge McCool

He respects the rule of law, and has a conservative judicial philosophy.   He does not believe in judicial activism.  The people of Alabama can count on Judge McCool to uphold the rule of law, and never to legislate from the bench.  Throughout his quarter-century legal career, he has enforced the rule of law in a fair and impartial manner.

“I have always been a conservative.  As a Republican, I do NOT believe in judicial activism.  Judges should apply the law, and not create the law.  Public policy should be set by the Legislature, and our court system should enforce it, not make it!  I firmly believe that judges should not be legislators in black robes.”

ROBIN LITAKER
Candidate for AL 7th Congressional District

Robin Litaker is a life-long Republican, Christian, educator, administrator and resident of Homewood, AL, for over 30 years, with extended family in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Fairhope.  She has served Alabama’s children as a teacher and principal in Mobile and Hoover City Schools for 32 years.

As the 1997 Alabama Teacher of the Year recipient, Robinfounded the Alabama Conference of Educators, serving as President (2002-2005) and Executive Director (2005-2008).  She has been COO of Wise Technologies in Fairhope, AL, and currently works as a catastrophic claims adjuster for the Pilot Insurance Company.

Robin has served on numerous state, regional, and national boards.  She served as Chairman of the Shelby County Republican Women, and currently, a member of the board of the Alabama Federation for Republican Women.  She has proactively worked with legislators, governors, various business leaders and the public, challenging powerful lobbyists and special interest groups to advocate for conservative education reform for the betterment of children and teachers in Alabama.

Robin holds BS and MAT degrees from Winthrop College, an Ed.S degree from the University of Montevallo and completed her Ed.D from Samford University.

Robin is currently the Alabama Republican Party nominee for the 7th Congressional District.  Her past years of service to the state and current mission to focus on the economy, lower inflation, boost growth, improve education for all of Alabama’s children and secure our nation against internal and external threats, are issues which will be her primary focus as a representative for the state in Washington DC.

Above all, she will lead according to the values of Philippians 2:3:

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.  Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
