2023 Highlights & Year-End Giving Opportunity

We want to give you a glimpse of our many 2023 accomplishments and what we plan for 2024.

  • Our 21 Action Groups meet weekly by conference call for issue briefings and to compare notes as they plan their regular monthly meetings across the state, which are listed on our newly revamped website.

  • These and other volunteers helped us this spring to generate an unprecedented level of demand for universal choice in education, which is expected to have significant legislative support in 2024.

  • We successfully advocated for protection from a Central Bank Digital Currency being forced upon citizens of Alabama. Totalitarian states such as China and even Canada use money to manipulate and control citizens’ lives. Think about the Canadian truckers who had their bank accounts frozen to silence their protests against government policy.

  • In a July 2023 letter to Alabama Library Board members, Eagle Forum called for pulling out of the Marxist-led American Library Association. In November, they did it. Now our volunteers are uncovering the obscene material while enlisting pastors to get it removed from both public and school libraries.

  • In September, eighteen Alabama Eagles went to Eagle Council 51 on Capitol Hill. We spent one day lobbying our Alabama delegation and the next two days learning from our speakers and peers in other states.

  • At Eagle Council we heard from Kevin Freeman, author of Pirate Money. He is coming to Birmingham on January 12th to explain how other states are enabling citizens to use gold and silver-backed deposits for their transactions – much like a bank debit card but free of bank or federal control. With U.S. currency not backed by gold as in other countries and with U.S. Government spending skyrocketing, the dollar is very fragile. States have the clear right under our brilliant Constitution to recognize gold and silver as legal currency and make it transactional.

  • Emboldened by the “Going Woke in Dixie” report exposing the damaging DEI imposition at Auburn and Alabama, the legislature must stop funding all Diversity departments, which control hires in every academic discipline. Money saved can be used to transform higher education. National Association of Scholars’ model legislation would set up a General Education School in those state universities. It is a viable and vital plan to teach the truth about America’s rich history and principles, the history of Western Civilization, etc. – so that Alabama universities can graduate patriots prepared to protect liberty instead of Marxist ideologues bent on destroying our land. Visionary leadership can make it happen.

  • To improve communications, we have just invested in a state-of-the-art texting and email platform. This will greatly enhance our educational platform as well as our lobbying efforts.

Eagle Forum volunteers work on many fronts; we need your financial support so we can expend our energy on renewing our Republic rather than raising money. As frugal as we are, we must continue to underwrite the expenses of our volunteers, so we can continue to grow and be more effective.

Please look over the list of policy initiatives we are advancing and consider a contribution to our legislative work (c4) or our tax-deductible education work (c3) Will you send your contribution of $50, $100, $500, $5000 – whatever you can spare – before year-end?

Bless you for your faithfulness,

Jim Cooper, President Eagle Forum of Alabama Education Foundation

Eunie Smith, President Eagle Forum of Alabama
