We have had to make a difficult decision regarding our Policy Conference scheduled for Friday. The weather forecast for that day shows severe weather conditions that will affect both our venue area and the highways leading to Birmingham, especially from the south. There will be heavy rain, large hail, and straight-line winds of up to 70MPH all day. Our top priority is to ensure your safety, and that’s why we have decided to cancel the event.

We considered several factors before making this decision, including the fact that we have speakers coming from out of state, and the iffy weather would affect their dependability to be at the event. Also, the route that White Wings catering is coming from has significant risk. Moreover, our venue’s power goes out often during wind storms and stays out for 24 hours, and we do not want to put anyone in harm’s way.

However, we have great news! All of our speakers, the venue, the caterer, and videographer are all available on Friday, Feb 9th. We will be able to stick with the original program, same time (8:30 am-4:30 pm) and place (First Baptist Church). It’s going to be a great event.
